Our History
CountryWide was conceived by its founder, Angelo De Gasperis, a visionary with over 60 years of experience in the land development sector. After more than a decade, we continue to stay true to his original dream of offering only the finest homes, built with quality craftsmanship, continuous innovation and trendsetting designs within masterfully planned communities.
1954
Angelo De Gasperis arrives to Toronto from Italy and he, along with his brothers, incorporate a concrete and drain company under the name of Condrain.

2004
During this period, under Angelo’s supervision, the business steadily expanded into a major, vertically integrated operation by spawning many sub-related companies in order to develop large tracts of land for community living.

2005
After 50 years in land development, Angelo decides to form a company that would deliver on his true passion, building premium homes. CountryWide Homes is born. Their first site opens at Upper Thornhill Estates.
